Bemerkungen | It was the one of the top three large meteors that I've seen in 40 years of flying and it was directly overhead traveling in a North to South direction. It appeared (light/fireball) directly over Tulsa, OK and traveled for several seconds to the South. It was so large and bright (and seemingly close) that I expected we'd see it explode, but it disappeared about 45 degrees above the horizon. |

Bemerkungen | Incredibly bright, large fireball, dripping bits of the main ball. We were flying at 36,000 feet, headed west (at 0300). The fireball appeared directly overhead and lit up the cockpit with yellow light. |
