BemerkungenI watched the last 30 seconds of the life of this fireball. The moment it broke apart above my head was an incredible sight that I wish I caught on camera. It sparkled and twinkled and the smaller bits began to shoot away. I’ve never seen anything like it, even on tv. It seemed very close, although I do realize these things are relative. I al surprised I couldn’t find reports of this on the east coast of the U.S. Please let me know if there is anything at all you can share with me. Thank you.

BemerkungenAfter the fireball went behind the clouds, I stopped my camera, but then it reappeared and exploded (without sound) into many bits and sort of fizzled and sparkled, almost directly overhead. The smaller pieces shot off into different directions for quite some time. The small pieces were red and tiny and 2 remaining pieces could be seen with the eye for several minutes, shooting across the sky.
Teilung
BeobachtungJa
BemerkungenThe fragments were many. After the larger fireball broke apart, I focused in on one in particular that I watched shoot across the sky for several minutes.
